Today we will be talking about the number one mistake beginning investors make in the stock market. This stock market investment mistake is following the market, or buying high and selling low. One way to identify them is by looking at market capitalization. Blue chip companies typically have a market capitalization exceeding $100 billion. Blue chip stocks typically pay dividends, have a history of rising dividends and have dependable earnings. Blue chip stocks are...

These 3 stocks to watch in June 2017 have some serious upside potential in my opinion. All three of these stocks to watch in June of 2017 are stocks that I expect will go up in value. The stock market is unpredictable and in 2017 the stocks may go up or down. It is impossible to know for sure but we can make our best guess about the stock market in June of 2017. 1. Google (Alphabet) Google is on my list of stocks to watch in June of 2017. Google is the dominant search engine and their products have become an essential part of our everyday lives. Instead of charging for these services, Google collects data which is far more valuable. This data is worth billions of dollars to advertisers. Google makes money through AdSense and AdWords by offering targeted advertising services with real time feedback. As traditional advertising practices are phased out, more ad spending will be directed to Google and Facebook. Google is in the perfect position to benefit from this advertising trend shift. 2. Facebook Facebook is on my list of stocks to watch in June of 2017 as well. Facebook has a social media monopoly that is still growing. Like Google, Facebook collects data on their users. This data is very valuable to advertisers. Facebook also owns Instagram and WhatsApp, which provides them with additional opportunities to collect data and advertise. Facebook is the dominant social media platform. Despite how large Facebook has become, it is still growing. Daily active users grew 18% in 2016 and mobile monthly active users grew 17%. More users means more data being collected and more advertisements. Facebook will also largely benefit from this advertising trend shift we are seeing. 3. Amazon Amazon is my third and final stock on my list of stocks to watch in June of 2017. Amazon is becoming known as the shopping search engine. Amazon is disrupting retailers across the board and it is now more likely that you will find an Amazon Prime account in a household than a landline telephone. Due to the complexity of the business and the intellectual property they have, Amazon has a very low risk of disruption. We are seeing a consumer spending trend shift as people are doing more shopping online. Amazon will benefit from this trend shift more than any other company. In 2017 alone, the average return on investment across Google, Facebook and Amazon is 30.3%! #1 BOOK I RECOMMEND (Wealth): http://amzn.to/2sncXrg #2 BOOK I RECOMMEND (Mindset): http://amzn.to/2smXaIW #3 BOOK I RECOMMEND (Happiness): http://amzn.to/2smO0Mv #4 BOOK I RECOMMEND (Investing): http://amzn.to/2rsXWny Website! http://www.ryanoscribner.com Follow me on Twitter! https://twitter.com/RyanOScribner Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/ryanoscribner/ Snapchat! ryanoscribner My Equipment... Today we will be talking about the number one mistake beginning investors make in the stock market. This stock market investment mistake is following the market, or buying high and selling low. We have a tendency to do this as many stock market beginners make emotional investing decisions. WHY WE BUY HIGH: 1. We see others making money. 2. We like to celebrate with others. 3. We tend to follow the leader. 4. Wall Street pushes the market leaders. 5. Recent events carry more weight in our minds. 6. Overconfidence in ourselves or an analyst. WHY WE SELL LOW: 1. Avoiding what appears to be more risk. 2. A loss is twice as painful as a win is joyful. 3. Wall Street pushes the market losers. 4. Recent events carry more weight in our minds. 5. Lack of confidence in our investments. 6. Other people are doing it. 7. We are impatient and want something new. Buying high and selling low, or following the market, is a losing strategy for any stock market investor. This is the biggest mistake beginner investors in the stock market make and it is also the most common one. In the words of Warren Buffett, we should be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when others are greedy. The bone broth trend has really taken off lately. Thereโ€™s a storefront in New York that deals exclusively in the stuff, and the Lakers have even started a bone broth regimen. But the fad actually has ancient roots. Thereโ€™s evidence of bone broth cooking in the Stone Age, and the hearty elixir has long been a part of Asian culinary tradition. I grew up with the stuff and now I make it for my boys on a weekly basis. Itโ€™s nutrient-rich and makes for a comforting drink on its own, or even an amazing stock. And now, it looks like bone broth may even create stronger bones and joints, boost your immune system, and make for shinier hair, all because of the collagen and calcium phosphate released during the long cooking process. While the broth does have to simmer over night, active cooking time is low, meaning itโ€™s basically a breeze to make. BEEF BONE BROTH INGREDIENTS 3.5 lbs meaty beef bones (oxtail, short rib, beef neck bones, beef bones) 1 onion 5 slices of ginger 15 whole peppercorns 1 1/2 cups rice wine salt to taste optional: thinly sliced scallions and cilantro RECIPE 1. Soak the meat and bones in cold water for 20 min to release blood and then strain 2. Boil the meat and bones for 10 min to clean and remove impurities, then strain 3. Wash each beef bone thoroughly and remove any residual bone fragments. Clean the pot too 4. Put the clean ribs and oxtail back into pot and add onion, peppercorns, ginger, rice wine, fill pot with water 5. Cover and cook on high heat until boiling then reduce to low 6. Cook overnight 7. Before serving, strain the broth or skim the natural oils off the top Enjoy! Subscribe for new videos every other Thursday: https://www.youtube.com/user/farmtota... What is a blue chip stock? Recently I did a video discussing a strategy involving investing 50% of your money in blue chip stocks and 50% of your money in investment grade bonds. I wanted to do a video going into more detail about blue chip stocks as well as give a few examples of some blue chip companies that pay dividends and serve as income investments. A blue chip stock is a piece of ownership of a well established, financially stable company with a track record. These companies are long standing and time tested. One way to identify them is by looking at market capitalization. Blue chip companies typically have a market capitalization exceeding $100 billion. Blue chip stocks typically pay dividends, have a history of rising dividends and have dependable earnings. Blue chip stocks are named after the blue chip in poker as the chip having the most value. There is no official list of blue chip stocks but many use the DJIA as a reference. Stock market investors like blue chip stocks for a number of reasons: 1. Dividends allow for compound interest. 2. Lower risk investment compared to smaller cap stocks. 3. Historically they have been great long term investments. 4. Most blue chip investors are long term, less short term volatility. 5. Income investors can get regular cash payments from dividend stocks. 6. Dividends allow you to be paid in two possible ways. 7. Dividends are a way to hedge against loss. While they are lower risk investments, they are not recession proof. Here are a few examples of that: 1. In 1987 the DJIA lost 23% in one day. 2. In 2008 shares of Citigroup were less than an ATM fee at the bank. 3. In 2008, Lehman Brothers went bankrupt. 4. In 2008, General Motors went bankrupt. 5. In 2001, Enron went bankrupt. 6. In 1987, Texaco went bankrupt. Dow Jones Companies (As of January 2017) IBM, Microsoft, Apple, Intel, General Electric, United Technologies, Verizon, Cisco, Coca Cola, McDonald's, Exxon, Chevron, American Express, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Visa, Walmart, Nike, Home Depot, 3M, DuPont, Johnson & Johnson, Merck & Co, Pfizer, Procter & Gamble, Boeing, Walt Disney, Travelers, United Health, Caterpillar CALL MY CHANNEL HOTLINE AND LEAVE A QUESTION! 754-666-3972 (754-MONEYQA) #1 BOOK I RECOMMEND (Wealth): http://amzn.to/2sncXrg #2 BOOK I RECOMMEND (Mindset): http://amzn.to/2smXaIW #3 BOOK I RECOMMEND (Happiness): http://amzn.to/2smO0Mv #4 BOOK I RECOMMEND (Investing): http://amzn.to/2rsXWny Website! http://www.ryanoscribner.com Follow me on Twitter! https://twitter.com/RyanOScribner Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/ryanoscribner/ Snapchat! ryanoscribner My Equipment... Here is a beginners guide on how to buy stocks. This is how to buy stocks for beginners, a stock market for beginners guide! Buying your first share of a stock can be intimidating, but once you understand the basics you won't be afraid to jump in to the world of trading and investing in the stock market for beginners! In order to buy or sell a stock, you need a stock broker. In order to have access to a trading platform, you need a broker. You can go through an in person stock broker, an online discount stock broker or now a free stock broker thanks to Robinhood. I highly recommend Robinhood for stock market beginners looking for an easy way to buy stocks. The trading app Robinhood offers free stock trading with no minimum account balance. Many have asked me about my opinion of another trading app many stock market beginners use called Stash. This app charges you $1 a month for an account balance under $5,000 and 0.25% per year for an account balance over $5,000. For that reason, I am partial to Robinhood. I think this is the best app for stock market beginners to use when buying their first stocks. Once you decide on a broker you need to open a trading account. You need a trading account in order to buy and sell stocks. You typically have two options; a cash account and a margin account. A margin account allows stock market investors to purchase securities with borrowed funds. A cash account is a regular brokerage account where securities are paid in full. Stock market beginners want a cash account 99% of the time. Trading on margin is not for beginners. In order to open the account you will need proof of identity and proof of address. Once you fund the account, you are ready to buy stocks. In order to buy a stock you will need the stock symbol. For example, the symbol for Coca Cola is KO. You would type in KO on your trading platform and click buy in order to buy stock in Coca Cola. This is a stock many beginners invest in as well. When buying stocks, you have a few options for order types. You want to make sure you are using the correct order type when buying stocks. 1. Market: Executes a buy order at the current market price. 2. Limit: The maximum price you will pay for a stock. (Ex. ABC Stock is $30, Buy no higher than $25) 3. Stop Loss: Executes a buy order when the set price is reached. (Ex. ABC Stock is $25, Buy no lower than $30) 4. Stop Limit: Trigger a limit order when the set price is reached. (Ex. ABC Stock is $25, Buy no higher than $30.10 after it hits $30) There you have it! Those are the basics of how to buy stocks for beginners. I hope you found this stock market for beginners guide to be useful. The stock market can be a great way to invest your money and I encourage you to learn as much as you can about investing. Learning how to buy stocks and opening a trading account is the first step and you have now accomplished that!
